This whole event showed how wrong the case of Plessy vs. Fergusun was. Separate is not equal. Blacks and whites should be allowed in the same school together to make things fair and show that one is not better than the other.

It was important because blacks could get a good education. I think the Emmett Till case and Martin Luther King Jr. had a bigger impact. My life would be very different with out this case because I would not know a lot of nice people just because of this case. Schools would be all one race and not be integrated what so ever. This made Jim Crow laws and segregation illegal.
